Borouge is a manufacturing company that engages in the production of polyoleofins which is a type of plastic. It is a joint venture of Borealis, which is an Austrian company that the second largest producer of plastics in Europe, and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. Polypropylene is a synthetic product created by the chemical industry. Since this polymer is tougher or stiffer than other plastics, it can be applied to make various products like: automotive components; food packaging; laboratory equipment; loudspeakers; plastic parts and reusable containers of various types; polymer banknotes; ropes; and textiles, among others. In order to achieve good quality of plastic output, a measuring microscope can be used. Accurate measurement of complex components is achieved by a measuring microscope through its features of the high contrast and high resolution optical images. Thus, a measuring microscope enables fast, simple, and enhanced surface definition.

The said manufacturing facility has the target of achieving an annual capacity 50,000 tonnes of production. The management of Borouge had chosen China because it is strategic proximity to Abu Dhabi. As such, the China plant will be able to acquire the product of Abu Dhabi plant, Borstar polypropylene, as one of its raw materials in order to minimize cost. Furthermore, the Borouge management is also targeting manufacturing organizations in China as their market, as well as those other countries in Asia.

The China compounding facility will principally supply polypropylene solutions for the automotive industry. Such includes endurance and high impact interior and exterior applications like dashboards, door panels and bumpers, among others. As stated before, the new plant is set to supply value added compounds for electrical appliances. Furthermore, locating in China would allow the corporation to take advantage of the said country’s status as the world’s fastest growing automotive market.
